Blur of Yellow

Oh, but, let me go
on writing.
For my pen,
it sings for me,
and for you,
especially you.
For what man
has captured
my imagination?
Has dared
to look so far
down my throat?
To see what
no one knows;
that in my heart lives
the yellow canary
housed in a cage
of bones.
And it’s in
this structure
I’ve seen you
examining,
perhaps in thought
of disassembling,
that in one instant
blur of yellow,
love is free
at last – my hope.
